HOW IT STARTED
The combination that saw them traverse the mighty Himalayas, summit quite a few peaks and explore trails and paths that would leave the rest of us fainthearted. Soon, they were working for the same company, but in different cities. Sandeep in Delhi and Rakesh in Bangalore. But the call of the Himalayas was just too strong to be ignored. Sitting in restaurants in their respective cities, a plan was hatched on the phone. A plan to quit their jobs, start a trekking company and share their love for the high mountains with other people. But what would they call this company?
“How about Trek The Himalayas?”, asked one. “Perfect!” said the other.

We make sure that our trekkers are fit. We educate our trekkers – we give them a fitness regime and ask for their progress. Our Sales Coordinator gives detailed guides of what to carry, how to prepare for a Himalayan trekker.
We follow eco-friendly practices. Providing garbage bags, separating wet and dry wastes, minimizing the garbage, cleaning the trails, dumping the waste packs directly at the municipality and educating our trekkers, has made us an eco-trekking organisation.
We also run monthly contests so that the outdoor creatives have a platform to showcase their abilities.
